Summer Camps

Join us for a summer of digital fun. This summer, we are offering morning and afternoon week-long programs in robotics engineering, stop-motion animated movie making, computer video game creation, 3D game design, and Android App development. Kids have a blast while learning skills that will enhance computational, logical, and critical thinking skills.

Each child is provided with their own computer to work on during class. Students receive both individual and group instruction from our well qualified staff. We maintain a maximum 15:1 student to teacher ratio to increase individual student engagement.

Coding - Game Maker

Sneaky learning at its best! Capitalize on your kids’ love for video games by letting them build their own. Their imagination is the limit as they use block coding to plan and design a variety of game types. Over the course of a week, you will design and build 2D platformers, top-down RPGs, side scrollers, and physics-based games. Students learn a foundation of programming basics and apply them as they build a different class of game each day. Use the level editor to create a physics game like Angry Birds and design platformer and top-down worlds. At the end of the week, they can show off their own original games and play them with friends and family. No prior programming experience required.

Android App Creation
Stop Motion Animated Movie Making

This application creation class will introduce coding through block based programming. Students will learn how to create Android Apps for game play, accessing internet based information, and user based information. They will complete multiple apps that can be used on any standard Android phone or tablet.  The students will learn the foundational skills needed to transition into working with professional programming languages.

LEGO® EV3 Robotics

Turn dreams into reality using stop-motion animation and digital post-production editing to create LEGO® movies. Students incorporate special effects (video and sound) enabling them to experience the overall movie making adventure, all while reinforcing key writing concepts such as introductions, author’s purpose, main ideas, etc. The script is up to their imagination.  Students will take their movies home to share with friends and family.  (Many campers take this class over and over again – each time creating bigger and better movie productions.)

Do your children love LEGO® bricks? Do they like to build? Do robots excite them? Then this is your program. The new EV3 MIndstorms® kits have arrived and we have them! These exciting robotics classes combine the fun of building robots with the ability to program them to do what you want. No experience is required. Students will learn about if/then logic, loops, and other basic programming tools while having tons of fun. If you want your child to embrace STEM, choose this path.
